Technical Project Manager

Hitron Technologies Americas is growing, and we are seeking a passionate and result-focused Technical Project Manager with a track record of successful hardware, software, and SaaS product delivery, and delivering results in an agile environment.

As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing project planning and management for established initiatives within Hitron US. You will engage with customers to ensure that projects are completed to specification, within an established time frame and budget. It is expected that you will use your industry expertise to improve all aspects of project planning and resource management. Individuals who work well in a collaborative environment and pay meticulous attention to detail tend to excel in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Providing technical project planning, management and oversight for key initiatives and implementation projects, ensuring that initiatives and projects are closely aligned with the product roadmap
  • Establishes, plans, and executes major milestone reviews and decision gates to complete programs and project life cycle. Ensures all the required products are produced and reviewed, including the technical leadership of requirements management, design, implementation, system integration, verification, test, quality assurance, delivery, operations, and sustainment of the technical solution
  • Oversee the daily tasks of technical personnel and direct when needed, to ensure all staff members are actively working toward established milestones
  • Hold regular program meetings, and bring in the required technical experts when needed, to determine progress and address any questions or challenges and provide progress.
  • Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives
  • Ensure that documentation is kept up to date. This includes but not limited to processes, technical specifications, data sheets, requirements documents, etc.
  • Establish and implement training processes and strategies for all project deliveries.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group; developers, product owners, executives, sales, and end customers
  • Creates, manages, and tracks team velocity and other KPIs in relation to the plan and progress reports
  • Provide process improvement recommendations based on best practices and industry standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or related technical field is required
  • Professional Project Management Certification preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies and methods
  • Ability to independently manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and project/development teams
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines
  • Ability to quickly identify and drive to the optimal solution when presented with a series of constraints
  • Demonstrated ability in people management, strategic planning, risk management, change management, and project management
  • Experience working with quality management approaches, techniques, and principles to ensure quality
  • Full understanding of software development lifecycle best practices
  • Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles
  • English/Chinese (Mandarin) speaking preferred but not required
